You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman
by Carole King
We don’t release copyrighted material on hitRECord.org — so at our SUMMER IN THE CITY show last night, I wanted to do something just for that room at that time, nothing “productive.” But of course, somebody recorded it and put it on YouTube, which is awesome, thanks julesette!
Here’s a bunch more RECords from the show last night.
This is an awesome interview. I’m so impressed at how Peter Travers tailored the interview to @hitRECordJoe. Including having his own camera, editing the cameras together into the final video, having a guitar and V mask at the ready. well played by both.
I’m back home from #SXSW. I’m so proud of us - we rocked the casbah. I had some super surreal stuff, made new friends, felt helpful and appreciated. we made a lot of awesome.
I saw Country Joe (sans the fish) sing the best arrangement of This Land is Your Land that I’ve ever heard. Hey Country Joe (if you ever see this), I was very tempted to yell “Give me an F!” at the end of your song. Would that have been amusing to you or annoying?
Here’s a couple of the photos I didn’t get to post from my time there.
The last picture is of a belt buckle that comes with an awesome story. Sean & Charlotte forgot their tambourine at the Alamo Drafthouse. I scooped it up and wrote them a ransom email that started “pretend this email is written in cut out magazine letters” and demanded (amongst other things) “a big ass belt buckle” if they ever want to see their tambourine alive again. I got back an LLOL email that started “pretend this email is pinned to a severed buffalo head in your bed.” when I saw them next (at the antelope dinner), they gave me this excellent ying yang belt buckle.
woot! It’s my very first very own hitRECord video request!
